ADMISSIONS CASHIERS - This is an excellent job if you enjoy working with people, If you have the ability to communicate well with the public in a positive, friendly manner, then this is for you. Knowledge of computers and attention to detail are a plus. Those who do not wish to spend countless hours in the hot sun may want to consider this position. A great job to gain experience that you can take to a variety of jobs in many different fields.

HOSPITALITY - Great position for new employees. Work in all areas of the park including attractions and admissions. This position will be involved with customer service and some cash handling responsibilities. These are outdoor positions that may require you to stand in the sun for some period of time

MASCOT/SURVEY STAFF - This is a combined position, incorporating the Mascot duties with administering the Customer Service Surveys. Outgoing and enthusiastic individuals should apply for the position of Mascot/Surveys. Someone who is self-motivated and communicates well with guests best fills this job. Mascot responsibilities include appearances inside and outside the park such as Wild Rivers Birthday Parties and local school appearances.

 

 
FOOD SERVICES - This includes Cooks, Cashiers, Bus Boys, and Servers. Duties include the preparation/handling of food, answering questions, offering help with food purchases, handling money and making change. This is an excellent position for those who do not enjoy working in the sun for long periods of time. This job requires quick service and being able to work in a busy environment. Must have friendly mannerisms and enjoy giving customer service.
 

 

GROUP SALES RECEPTIONISTS - Are responsible for answering and dispatching incoming calls, typing, filling, mailings, related office duties as well as public relations. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail is required. Computer knowledge is helpful. Applicants must be friendly, outgoing, energetic, and able to work well under pressure. This is an indoor position. Business majors and Communications majors may find this to be good on the job training.

OPERATIONS COORDINATOR - Duties include answering and dispatching incoming calls, typing, filling, scheduling, related office duties and public relations, Excellent communication skills and attention to detail required. Computer experience needed. Applicants must be outgoing, energetic, friendly and able to work well under pressure. This is an indoor job. Business majors will find this to be excellent on the job training. This job is largely responsible for the support of supervisors and the daily waterpark operations.

SECURITY/EMT - Security officers and EMT's are responsible for the health and safety of the guests. These positions are limited and an intricate application process is required.

 

 
PARK SERVICES-POOL CLEANERS are responsible for the high standard of cleanliness of all pools and aquatic related facilities. Duties include, but are not limited to: vacuuming pools, decks, cleaning pool equipment, testing pool water, minor repairs and maintenance of surrounding facilities.

GROUNDS KEEPERS are responsible for maintaining the high standard of cleanliness important for a safe, visually appealing environment. Duties include keeping walkways and park facilities clean, setup for special events, and small construction jobs. These outdoor positions require continuous walking, bending, stooping, lifting, moving and a tolerance for the sun. Individuals who are self-motivated and understand the importance of cleanliness, take pride in their work and enjoy being outdoors are encouraged to apply.
 

 
GIFT SHOP CASHIERS & ATTENDANTS - Duties include assisting guests in purchases of souvenir type items. Required to maintain assigned areas. This position requires excellent customer service and money handling abilities. This is an excellent job for those interested in retail, merchandising and business. This job requires standing for long periods of time inside and out.
 

 

LIFEGUARDS - Responsibilities include supervising guests in all aquatic attractions. All candidates must be certified in the following American Red Cross programs: Lifeguard Training, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, Community First Aid and Safety, and the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Waterpark Module. Candidates must be 15 years of age before they may take these courses. WILD RIVERS WATERPARK will offer these courses to assist you with obtaining these certificates. Candidates must be in good physical condition with normal hearing correctable vision, be able to stand for long periods of time and be tolerant of sun and heat. Lifeguards must also go through a WILD RIVERS lifeguard tryout.

RIDE ATTENDANTS - work on all water attractions, dispatching guests down the slides, and making sure all guests are aware of the safely roles before entering the slide. These positions require individuals who have the ability to communicate well with the public, in a positive, friendly manner. These are outdoor positions that require standing for long periods of time. Individuals must be tolerant of heat and the sun. Those persons with outgoing personalities and strong public relations skills are encouraged to apply.
